The appeal

The small Fiat 500 saloon offered an interior space that defied its size, but the Giardiniera took the concept to a whole new level. As well as seating four people, these compact cars also offered a spacious boot, making them perfect for family trips and business ventures.

The Giardiniera was so successful, with so few obvious rivals, that it was the last version of the classic 500 to remain in production. From 1968, they were built and marketed by Autobianchi, and this car was one of the last thousands built in 1977, when production ended.

The seller bought it in 2024 from a well-known classic car specialist, who had just restored it. He had intended to use it for a commercial venture, but his plans changed and he reluctantly put it up for sale. It has recently been serviced and has a roadworthiness certificate valid until February 2027.

With its classic dark blue finish and dark red vinyl interior, it is in very good condition thanks to this restoration. It is a harmonious blend of restored and original features. There are some refined touches, such as the original 'oval' dial, the Italian-style red rubber mats and the rare Autobianchi logo.

With its spacious boot and huge sunroof, the Giardiniera opens up new horizons for classic 500 driving. Whatever you use it for, we're sure you'll enjoy driving it.
