The Appeal
The Volkswagen Golf GTi MK2 16v is widely regarded as one of the definitive hot hatches of its era, offering a good balance of performance, practicality, and reliability. This particular example is a desirable "Big Bumper" three-door variant with the sought-after 16-valve engine, finished in rare straight black.
Having spent nearly two decades in dry storage and with only three registered keepers from new (all within the same company/family), this Golf represents an increasingly rare opportunity to acquire a tidy, original MK2 GTi with known provenance.

Recently recommissioned with over £5,000 invested to bring it back to roadworthy condition, this Golf achieved a first-time (advisory-free) MOT pass and is now ready to be enjoyed as a usable modern classic. Equally, it could serve as a great foundation for a more comprehensive restoration project.
