The Appeal
The 348 brought the style and panache of the Testarossa to Ferrari’s more ‘everyday’ mid engined supercar. Subtle tweaks and improvements to later cars like this one addressed early criticisms and created a capable, charismatic sports car that is a hidden Ferrari gem for real aficionados.
This rare RHD example is believed to be a ‘1 of 1’ colour scheme of understated Grigio metallic with a parchment leather cabin. It suits the car and is a welcome, less showy alternative to the more common Rosso Corsa and Creme. The vendor originally bought this car in 2012 before selling it to a friend and then buying it back in 2022. He undertook a full recommissioning in 2023.
During the work the car received a full respray and the interior leather was renovated. The smart five spoke alloys have also been overhauled and there are new tyres all round.
Beneath the straked bodywork the subframe was powder coated, the engine bay detailed and the radiators refurbished. The car has received a recent full service and the all-important cambelt change. The clutch was replaced in 2018, around 1,000 miles ago.
For those in the know, the later 348 is a canny purchase. In this subtle colour scheme and with all that recent work, this car is definitely worth your consideration. There is an advisory-free MOT to December and the distinctive private plate is included.
