The Appeal

When the DB7 hit the market in 1994, it followed Victor Gauntlet's brief perfectly - it was a 'Baby Aston', or more accurately, an accessible Aston that kept up that oh-so-seductive brand image while opening up the brand to a wider audience than ever.

The resulting car was beautiful, dynamic, and capable - while not quite boasting the incredible price tags of the company's other offerings. As a result, the car is perhaps one of the most important in the company's proud heritage and is a certainty for a future classic. The straight six supercharged engine, too, is part of Aston Martin's design legacy without the complexity and service costs of the later V12 engines.

Finished in an elegant Chiltern Green, with an all leather Parchment cabin, this nicely presented performance tourer has undergone some £35,000 of work with its previous keeper, and is still driving as you'd expect. This is a superb opportunity to take on an authentic British legend - and see why they have become a such an important part of Aston Martin’s legacy.

History and Paperwork

The car left the Bloxham factory in 1995
Registered in August 1995 with the first owner retaining the car for six years
Sixth owner acquired the car in 2009 and moved it to Belgium where it was serviced by Aston Martin there
The seventh owner bought the car in 2017, collecting it from Belgium at around 103,000 miles
Always dry stored and maintained by Aston Martin Works during his ownership
This included replacing both front floor sections, corroded front chassis legs and rear chassis
In 2020 the air conditioning was overhauled with the replacement of the evaporator assembly
The rear radius arm assemblies were both replaced which included all bushes
In 2021 there was a £10,00 body and paintwork refresh which included a complete respray, rear wheel arch welding and underbody waxing
Total documented spend of £35,000 in the seventh ownership
Since November the current owner the car has been maintained by a DB7 specialist in Surrey
Amongst the work done the automatic gear box fluid and filter have been changed
There have been many non service items taken care of including a complete overhaul/rebuild of the windscreen wiper mechanism
A set of new Michelin Sport 4 tyres were fitted
The car has just been serviced with an oil and filter change and the supercharger water pump oil seal being replaced
Stored in a Carcoon to keep it dry with fresh air circulation
Mileage is currently 111,043 miles and MOT is valid until January 2025
There is a good level of paperwork included, including:
