The Appeal

The Chimaera was TVR’s nod to sensible. But, of course, not too sensible. It was designed as a more comfortable, spacious GT with a decent sized boot, but one possessed of all the unfussy joy of the firm’s other models.

Good Chimaeras then, make great classic cars because they are ideal for road trips, weekend getaways and evening blasts.

And this Masala metallic example definitely is a good one. It is a very low mileage car that has been in the hands of the current keeper for 21 years. Factory standard with 250bhp through the rear wheels, it was supplied by TVR with rare power steering. It has always been maintained by TVR specialists and received a body-off chassis refurbishment five years ago.

As you might expect from all that attention, the car is in very good condition. Carefully curated, low mileage Chimaeras are worth seeking out because they are amongst the best of British sports cars. This one, therefore, deserves consideration.
