The Appeal
The second-generation ‘NB’ MX-5 added more power and dialled up the luxury, but without compromising the qualities that made the light, engaging and utterly nimble original so popular. With values of the original rising, these later models are a good value choice for enthusiasts of these great two-seaters.
This 2001 1.8L Sport has covered less than 50,000 miles in the hands of two keepers. Finished in silver with a black leather cabin, it is a tidy and usable example with scope to improve. The service records show considerable recent investment, including a new blue mohair hood with a glass screen in 2023 and a brake overhaul in 2024. The brake work included callipers, discs, pads and a fluid change. The tyres have also been recently replaced.
There are a couple of points to note, but it runs to April 2026, so there is plenty of time to remedy them if you wish and enjoy a great sports car.
