The Appeal
Ever since the British Armed Forces ordered their first batch of Land Rovers in 1949, just one year and eight thousand cars into production, these four-wheel drive workhorses have played a pivotal military role the world over. This 1986 Land Rover 110 was supplied new to the Singapore Military where it clearly saw sparing use before being imported to the UK and registered in August 2023.
It shows just 3,087 kilometres, which we understand to be correct and everything remains in fantastic overall condition. With its rugged appearance and rather fun canvas roof, it would be the perfect candidate for customisation or else to be appreciated for what it is - an immensely clean and refreshingly basic classic Land Rover.
The History and Paperwork
- Supplied new to the Singapore Military in September 1986
- Now imported to the UK and registered since August 2023

The Interior
- Currently seats two, although more could be added
- Utilitarian and hardwearing surfaces
- No floor mats fitted
- Complete with OEM plastic door trims
- Additional dash-mounted control unit for convoy light control
- Basic black vinyl upholstery in very good order
- Barely any wear to the seats or controls owing to the ultra-low mileage
- Very clean rear load bay which has evidently been repainted along with the front footwells
- No cracks or other signs of notable damage to the dashboard
- We understand everything to be in good working order
The Exterior
- White paintwork, which has been resprayed at some point
- Very few notable finish blemishes
- Exceedingly straight bodywork
- No signs of electrolytic corrosion to the alloy panels
- Underneath, the chassis appears in excellent order and is very well-preserved
- Additional convoy lights fitted
- The black canvas tilt looks to be in fine order, with no obvious signs of damage
- Black steel wheels shod with off-road tyres
- The bulkhead, chassis outriggers and rear crossmember all look to be in fine shape

- No advisories or faults were recorded on the MOT certificate
