The Appeal
The classic profile of the simply named GT owes much to Mercedes’ iconic W198 300SL ‘Gullwing.’ Like that car, it delivers the sort of visual and motorised drama that sets it out as a proper future classic.
Few contemporary grand tourers quite offer what the AMG-developed GT delivers: robust Mercedes quality, brutal performance and solid reliability. Constructed largely from lightweight aluminium, the GT is praised by reviewers for its mix of comfort, surprising practicality and, of course, pace.
This Magnetite Black 2016 GT is matched with black 19in alloys and an Anthracite interior, the whole very well kept thanks to careful keepers. The specification is impressive and includes a memory pack for the driver’s seat, mirrors and wheel and a fixed panoramic roof.
