The Appeal
The Heinkel Kabine is one of the most distinctive and charming microcars of the post-war era, developed by the German aircraft manufacturer Heinkel Flugzeugwerke as it transitioned from aviation to consumer vehicles in the 1950s. With its distinctive bubble-shaped body and front-opening door, the 150 is a true icon of post-war motoring ingenuity. While the design was later produced under licence in the United Kingdom by Trojan, genuine German-built examples like this one carry particular appeal among microcar collectors.
This 1956 example has been comprehensively restored, with components refurbished or replaced where necessary. The vendor states that the quality of the paint finish and overall detailing is very good, and that they have not seen a finer example. The 174 cc single-cylinder engine is reported to be starting and running well. The interior is described by the vendor as being in very good condition, complementing the quality of the exterior presentation.
Registered in Denmark and carrying no history of total loss or major structural issues, this Heinkel 150 represents a chance to acquire a well-presented example of a highly collectable bubble car.
