The Appeal
There are Cobra replicas and then there is the RAM Cobra. Highly dimensionally accurate and with a chassis developed by F1 constructor Adrian Reyard, these Shelby-endorsed 427 evocations are far more than cosmetically pleasing homages: they drive as well as they look.
This car is classically finished in British Racing Green and looks purposeful with its twin exit exhaust and black Hallibrand-style alloys. It mixes Jaguar and Ford running gear, including a 5.7L V8, and takes its identity from a period-correct 1964 Ford. Alongside that rumbly V8 there is a Tremec 5spd gearbox.
The car was built in the UK but moved to France in 2020 where it is now registered. It comes with a truly vast history file and is reported to have covered just 6,205 miles from new. We’re told that a reconditioned 5.7L V8 engine was fitted in 2020. The Controle Technique was renewed in April 2025 and runs to April 2027.
This tasteful Cobra is designed and specified to be used. It has the history and RAM provenance to appeal to serious drivers.
