The Appeal
Styled by Giovanni Michelotti, the Vitesse felt as modern and futuristic as it did fiercely traditional. These agile, willing little roadsters boasts a separate chassis - eliminating the common cowl shake - and a rock solid engine, not to mention a full four-seater cabin unlike many of its contemporaries.
This handsome 1966 example has undergone a thorough restoration and is finished in Valencia Blue, which suits those iconic Michelotti lines down to the ground. From top to bottom, it's a remarkable looker, while vendor describes the inline six as silky smooth, delivering a fabulous engine note. Extensive mechanical and cosmetic renewal underpins the work carried out, and the vendor reports that it's a fine runner - only proven further by its long, advisory-free MOT.
It's not often we come across a Vitesse at C&C, let alone in this superb, comprehensively restored guise. We expect it'll garner plenty of well-deserved attention at auction. 20260701_123253.jpg4.75 MB
