The Appeal
The Autobianchi Bianchina Panoramica is one of the more charming and unusual microcars of the late 1950s and 1960s. Born from a collaboration between Fiat, Bianchi, and Pirelli, the Bianchina offered a more refined and stylish take on the beloved Fiat 500 platform, and the Panoramica variant - a three-door micro estate with an extended wheelbase and a cleverly flat-mounted rear engine to maximise cargo space - is among the rarest and most practical of the range.
This 1968 example has benefited from a recent full restoration and is reported to present very well in its yellow livery. It retains its matching numbers 500cc inline twin-cylinder engine and features chrome bumpers, mirrors, and hubcaps, complemented by a leather interior. The Panoramica's ingenious packaging — borrowing the same principle as the Fiat 500 Giardiniera by laying the engine flat beneath the rear cargo floor — means this is a microcar with genuine, usable luggage space: a rare quality in a vehicle of this size and era.
Accompanied by its Italian registration document and two keys, this is an opportunity to acquire a rare piece of Italian automotive history. The seller can also assist with international shipping, making this accessible to collectors worldwide.
