Stored in a dry barn since restoration with minimal use
The Appeal
Alongside the far more common Morris Minor-based 'Traveller', a wood-clad version of the Mini was also put into production around the same time. Survivors are rare, making this an excellent opportunity to acquire what must be among the smartest examples to come to market in recent years.
This 1970 Innocenti-built example was imported from Italy in 2018 and subsequently treated to a comprehensive restoration in 2020 by the current owner. The work was thorough and exacting: the chassis and body were completely dismantled, sandblasted, and repainted in green, with front and rear door panels replaced and perforating rust carefully addressed. The mechanical side received equal attention, with the 850cc engine completely rebuilt, along with new suspension components, cooling system, braking system, clutch, fuel tank and pump. The interior has been thoughtfully preserved, retaining original materials and patina where possible whilst replacing only the carpet.
Since the restoration, the car has been stored in a dry barn and used sparingly, as the vendor's priorities shifted with the arrival of twins in 2024. It comes with the reassurance of an FFVE certificate, matching numbers, and a contrôle technique valid until October 2029.
For those seeking a well-sorted Innocenti Mini Traveller with documented restoration work and French registration, this car presents a compelling opportunity.image.png1.35 MB
