What makes it special
The BMW Z1 is one of the most unusual roadsters of the late 1980s, celebrated for its innovative engineering—especially its sliding vertical “pop-out” doors that retract into the lower sills. Built in just 8,012 examples between 1989 and 1991, it remains a genuine rarity and a highly sought-after model for collectors.
This 1990 example, presented in Traumschwarz Metallic (Dream Black Metallic) with black leather upholstery, is in very good condition. The bodywork and paint are described by the seller as being in excellent shape, showing only minor signs of use.
On the mechanical side, the seller states that the car is in good condition. Its 2.5-litre straight-six petrol engine, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, is reputed to run perfectly.
