The Appeal
Finding a good, unmolested W210 E-Class Mercedes is not an easy task. Many have been driven hard, succumbed to rust or been poorly maintained. But it’s worth persevering because these cars offer the serenity, comfort and sense of quality that few premium alternatives can quite match.
If you’re on the look out for a good W210 or just a highly preserved, low mileage classic saloon to smoke around in, then consider your search over. This 2001 E240 is the proverbial W210 unicorn, a fastidiously kept car that has covered less than 28,000 miles in its 25 years. That sparing use has been in the hands of just two keepers, the current one since 2007. As a facelift car it features the later 170bhp M112 2.6L V6 petrol engine.
The Travertine Beige paintwork and Elegance-spec interior look practically new, thanks in large part to the low mileage and the current keeper’s regime of a heated garage and no winter use or salt and grit exposure. The car remains highly original, right down to the factory stereo. The MOT history supports the sense of a well-cared-for car as it shows few advisories, none of them remotely serious.
We are told that the car was last serviced in 2022 and has covered just 51 miles since. The current MOT runs June 2026 with no advisories. As modern classic or daily driver, this well kept car looks rewarding.
The vendor says:
“This exceptional example of the W210 Mercedes E240 V6 Petrol has formed part of a small private collection for the last 19 years. Stored in a heated garage the car presents in time warp condition both internally and externally. The bodywork presents in superb condition with mirror stone chips to the front lower spoiler and small scuff adjacent to the front fog lamp. Internally there is a small mark to the rear tread plate as you enter the vehicle. Having not being used in winter periods and no exposure to salt and grit the vehicle underside is in great condition.”
