The Appeal
The Ducati Monster 620 Capirex is a rare machine. Just 300 were produced to celebrate Loris Capirossi's outstanding debut season with Ducati in MotoGP, wearing his iconic number 65 livery and proudly bearing the 'Capirex' name. Over the standard Monster 620, the Capirex boasts a double-sided aluminium swingarm, carbon fibre front mudguard, panels, cambelt covers, and exhaust head guards; a raised riding position with a height-adjustable rear axle; a bikini fairing; a rear seat cowl; and the distinctive white stripe with commemorative number 65.
This particular example was originally supplied by Ducati Wolverhampton in May 2005 and has been in its current keeper's hands since 2018. Upon acquisition, the bike underwent a mechanical re-commission including new cambelts, valve check, oil, filter, tyres, and fuel filter. It has since been well cared for, consistently protected with ACF-50, and the vendor states it is in very good condition with no corrosion. Nine services are documented from 2005 to June 2026, initially at Ducati Wolverhampton and subsequently at specialist workshops.
The bike was freshly serviced just weeks ago with new cambelts, and the MOT runs until June 2027 with no advisories. Three sets of keys are included, and the sale comes with the original OEM exhausts alongside the currently fitted Delkevic items. The vendor describes this as one of the best-handling Ducatis they have owned - dependable, easy to maintain, and a joy to ride.IMG_7566 Hemang Sheth.JPG1.97 MB
