1965 Triumph TR4 A finished in Wedgewood Blue with Blue leather reclining seats.
Built on March 30th 1965 and like many TR4’s it was exported to the USA where it staid until 1990 when it was imported to the UK.
Little known about the TR4 for quite a few years but in 2017 it underwent a huge body off restoration to what can only be described as outstanding condition.
The TR4 is fitted with the Surrey top including the hard detachable roof panel as well as the vinyl soft top.
The 2138cc four cylinder engine is particularly “punch “ with its Piper 270 fast road cam and nicely balanced twin Stromberg carbs, fitted with a spin off oil filer conversion, upgraded alternator and Revington dual service brake conversion, stainless steel sports exhaust with twin upswept pipes and for driver convenience fitted with inertia seat belts and reclining seats with headrests.
This is a truly stunning car with excellent paintwork and panel gaps, superb underneath, nicely detailed engine back and mechanically perfect with excellent oil pressure and responsive overdrive.
