Lot 960
An 1934 Alvis Firefly. Two-door DH four-seater coachwork by Cross & Ellis.
Reg No. KV7063.
Car No. 11116.
Engine No. 11564.
Red, black, and silver with red interior.
Introduced in 1932, the Firefly model was notably low-slung. Its 1496cc OHV engine allied to a manual or pre-selector gearbox, was capable of 75mph when new.
Eventually restored over a period of two years around 2010 and at a cost of £35000, the process was thoroughly documented, and a CD included in the files attests to the work carried out. Only 15 of this model are known to survive.
