The caravan was built by master carpenter Christian Nissan from Arnum in Southern Jutland who wanted to make it easier for himself to be a camper in his meager free time, so he started by making a small trailer that could be easily folded up and down - the solution was this Handy which with its opening front made room for 2 people, as well as a small kitchen with gas burner and refrigerator, the caravan was produced from 1958 - 1962, subsequently it was his sons who took over production and is today what we know as Camp-let.
