Description
2001 X Rover Mini Cooper Sport in classic Solar Red and Silver. This unique and very special car has had a very different life to most Minis. It was bought new by a retired engineer who was also part of the Mini Cooper Register team. He bought it unregistered from the dealer and had it at home for the first 2 months. During this time it was fully protected with military grade wax oil, which has been injected into the entire car. A long spill was used to spray wax oil into all areas of the car. All of the items like spot lights and bumpers were removed and refitted using carefully made gaskets so that the metal was not directly on the paint. Since then the mini has only ever been taxed for 6 months for the summer. It has never been used in the rain and has had ‘one owner’ from new! As a result this mini has done 31400 from new and still has its original paint. This is super rare at any mileage. It is so special to have a 26 year old mini that has never had bits of rust. You can’t get better peace of mind than original paint on a mini. The seats have had covers on from new, and I uncovered them for the first time in 26 years. The seats are immaculate as is the rest of the interior. It has its original over mats and Rover radio. It has 4 new Yokohama tyres and has just been serviced. The servicing has mainly been done by its owner as he is a retired engineer. There is a hand written detailed log of the cars servicing and history. There is also a 6 page feature in Cooper World magazine explaining the cars life, wax oil treatment and its life story written by its one owner. This is a super rare opportunity to buy a ‘one owner’ Cooper Sport with factory paint and in immaculate original condition.
