The Willys Coupe 77 is a rare, rare American curiosity. Willys Overland was struggling economically during the depression, just as many consumers were, and it became essential to try and combat both; the Model 77 was expected to be the answer. At the time of release, this car cost only $500, sitting at absolute rock-bottom pricing with plenty of cars sold - though sadly, profit margins were equally tiny, and it wasn't until the commission of the Willys Jeep that the company found salvation. 

These vehicles are becoming increasingly sought-after by collectors of pre-war American automobiles, particularly as fewer original examples remain available for restoration. This 1933 example, then is a doubly desirable car - UK registered, ready and waiting to be brought back to life by the dedicated enthusiast. Hot rod? True-to-heritage rebuild? ✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance.
