The Appeal

The Ford F-1 was the workhorse of Ford’s post-war Bonus Built truck range. With its bold rounded styling that marked a sharp break from pre-war designs, the F-1 became one of the most recognisable and sought-after American pickups among collectors of its era – a symbol of the American dream.

This 1950 example is one of those trucks. Powered by its original 3.9-litre flathead V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission, it also benefits from a handy 12V electrical conversion. The chassis is described as very sound, and although the bodywork and blue paint show age-related wear, they give the vehicle an honest and characterful look.
