The Appeal
The ‘LD’ was built in the gold age of scooters, and it was built to give buyers a more comfortable experience - hence the ‘Luxury’ in ‘LD.’ It evolved continuously, Lambretta applying subtle tweaks through the 1950s that appeal to enthusiasts.
This 125LD appears to be a ‘Version II’ model with the twin seats incorporating a grab handle. It is a truly evocative machine that retains period accessories like the box, side panels and spare wheel that are now very hard to find.
The vendor tells us that it has been thoroughly restored, paying careful attention to originality. The white banded tyres, with matching spare, are said to be new and it has been freshly serviced. The Revisione runs to July 2027. Thankfully it retains the right level of patina for buyers to sense its history.
