The Renault 4CV was France's answer to the developing craze for 'people's cars' - Germany had the Beetle, Britain had the Mini, Italy had the Fiat. It was a universal language for post-war European motoring - though with its distinctive whiskers and nose, we'd perhaps argue the 4CV had a more elegant factor to its front end.
This charming 1957 example represents the later evolution of the model, which had by then established itself as a cornerstone of French motoring culture. It's a handsome, ready-to-go car, too, with the body restored by the previous owner and the interior refurbished by the current owner just last year.
