Early Triumphs of this kind do not come around very often and with the wonderful historic importance of these bikes, this is a fabulous investment opportunity that can still be readily used on the roads today. 

With a punchy short stroke 500cc twin, this is a nippy bike and looks absolutely fabulous in the process. Glossy burgundy and black paint with satin finished aluminum and bright chromework are a classic combination and this bike wears them perfectly with light patina in places.

● A handful of paperwork from the early to mid 2000’s showing plenty of maintenance 
● Some MOT certificates from the early 2000’s evidently a time the bike was in more regular use 

● Paperwork to support engine re-bore and other work in 2006

● Matching engine and frame numbers is an unusual feature of early Triumphs

● Very nice paintwork all over with some minor imperfections in places adding to the character 

● Bodywork and frame appear straight and solid 

● Instrument panel, front headlamp and rear lamps appear in perfect working order though the numbers on the speedometer are heavily faded 

● Chromework, polished aluminum and badges show very minor patina but ultimately are in wonderful shape 

● The ‘furnishings’ being the seat, handlebar grips and tank protectors are in great order with the usual evidence of use but no rips or damage to note 

● Chrome tank mounted luggage carrier is straight and tidy 

● All round the bike clearly has been maintained with little evidence of oil leaks from the engine or crankcase 

● Suspension forks and rear shock seals appear to be leak free 

● The wire spoked wheels are in nice order, appear to be damage free and shod in Avon Speedmaster Mkll tyres with good tread 

● The engine, crankcase and drivetrain all appear in great order, showing some typical minor weeping of oil residue and no evidence of damage on the crankcase from being dropped 

● Some wear on the foot pegs, gear shift and other high contact areas but no more than to be expected for consumable items 

Matching numbers, good history and beautifully kept, they don’t come much better than this. This bike benefits from not having heavy restoration or polishing, leaving it feeling and look like a true classic and boasts all the original features to go along with it. 

With bikes like this often having been modified or having had engine or chassis replacements, this bike is a sure fire future investment and piece of Triumph history.
