The Appeal

With hefty powerplants, aggressive styling and a low line roof, the Ford Mustang was built to dominate the public consciousness, and we'd wager that even the marketing bods at Ford were amazed at just how successful it was at exactly that. The Mustang is a true pop culture icon, and shows no sign of slipping into obscurity.

This 1968 example comes to us in solid order, ready to be overhauled and brought back to the road proper after a long period of storage. Unlike most Mustangs, it's been converted to a four-speed manual transmission, while the 289ci V8 has been replaced at some stage in the car's life to a 302ci V8. We've no doubt that when you're behind the wheel, you'll notice the difference!
