The Appeal
Introduced as a replacement for the Austin Healey 3000, the MGC Roadster is one of the more coveted variants in the MG lineage. It was distinguished by its six-cylinder engine and produced for just two model years between 1967 and 1969. The MGC's relative rarity compared to the four-cylinder MGB, combined with the added refinement and performance of the larger engine, has made it a firm favourite among British sports car enthusiasts.
This 1968 example comes to market having benefited from considerable recent investment. The current owner has spent over £10,000 since acquiring the car in early 2024, with all work entrusted to the MG Owners Club. The engine has been rebuilt, new brakes and cooling fans have been fitted, and a new mohair roof has been added. The vendor reports the car presents very well and believes no further work is required.
Offered with service history and an MOT valid to February 2027, this MGC Roadster represents a fine opportunity to acquire a well-sorted example of a genuinely rare British sports car.1-static-16.jpg243.45 KB
