The Appeal
The Ferrari 308 GTS is one of the most recognisable Ferraris ever produced - pure automotive poetry from bumper to bumper, with Pininfarina's fluid lines and unmistakable silhouette moulding around one of the marque's most reputed V8 powerplants. Slicked back, proudly carrying pop-up headlights and loaded with charismatic - almost unbeaten - character. To this day, it's cars like this that come to mind when one thinks of the Maranello pony.
This particular 1979 example is reportedly a 100% original 308 GTS with no modifications. Acquired by the current keeper in September 2024, the car has benefited from a major service including replacement of the timing belts and repair of all engine oil leaks. The vendor reports that the car now drives very well with stable road holding and the blistering performance you'd expect.
