Distinctive red Hermès leather interior contrasting with cream exterior
MOT valid until May 2027
The Appeal
The XJ40 demonstrated that Jaguar invested heavily in its more traditional saloon styling. It was equipped – for its lineage – with an electronic dashboard and independent rear suspension. It was the last truly independent Jaguar produced by the marque, and the last car designed during William Lyons' lifetime.
Finding an example equipped with the rare five-speed manual gearbox is almost a phoenix; this transmission was rarely ordered and is today highly sought after. Delivered new in Monaco and now showing 87,600 kilometres, this elegant manual example underwent in 2023 a respectful restoration including a full mechanical overhaul, a new paint job and an interior refurbishment while preserving its original character.
The striking colour combination, crème bodywork and red Hermès leather interior is particularly noteworthy. A true beauty, without a doubt/
Maintained exclusively by Jaguar professionals throughout its life using only manufacturer-recommended products, the car was also ceramic-coated in 2024, and proudly shows matching serial numbers and a MOT valid until May 2027, as well.image.png1.5 MB
