The Appeal

The Bentley Turbo R marked a turning point for the Crewe marque when it arrived in 1985, pairing the hand-built opulence of the Mulsanne with firmer suspension, wider alloy wheels, and a familiar, muscular turbocharged 6.75-litre V8 producing 320 hp. The result was a grand tourer that could dispatch long distances with considerable pace while cocooning its occupants in leather-lined comfort. For many, it became one of the most definitive Bentleys in the marque's heritage.

This 1989 example is a left-hand drive car finished in black over a black leather interior — a suitably commanding combination for one of the most imposing saloons of its era.
