The BMW Z1 is one of the most innovative and collectable BMWs ever produced. With its revolutionary thermoplastic body panels and iconic drop-down doors, the Z1 was a technological showcase when it debuted in 1989, and just 8,000 examples were built during its short production run. Today, the model enjoys a devoted following among BMW enthusiasts and collectors worldwide.
This 1992 example comes with impressive provenance, having originated from a Belgian BMW collector before joining the current Dutch owner's collection several years ago. The odometer shows just 7,650 kilometres (approximately 4,750 miles), and the vendor describes the interior as in almost new condition, with the exterior presenting in good overall order. Recognising that the maintenance history was unknown, the current owner commissioned a comprehensive service in September 2025 at BMW dealer Story in 's-Hertogenbosch. This major service included a full service, replacement of spark plugs, installation of a new battery, replacement of the fuel tank, fuel pump and fuel filter, and refilling of the cooling system. The car has not been driven since this work was completed.
