The appeal
For discerning enthusiasts, there are Escort RS Cosworths, and then there's the big-turbo Cossie. These early cars were built for homologation with, of course, larger T35 Garrett turbochargers and water injection mounted in the duct behind the rear seats. They are hard to find as only 2,500 were produced.
With its huge rear spoiler and Cosworth-tuned dynamics, the Escort Cosworth is perhaps the last of the 90s Fast Fords, as flashy as it is determined. This 1994 car is one of those T35s, in the seductive 'Lux' configuration and with just 64,000 km put together by its three owners.
It's in very good condition, the blue/green bodywork standing out in the sunlight on the photos and the all-leather interior looking much younger than its age.
The seller tells us that it has been well looked after. He acquired the car from the first owner in 2003 and has stored it in a dry place, using it sparingly since then.
The MOT, valid until January 2028, is a further vote of confidence, with only one minor warning to report.
The seller said:
"The vehicle was bought new from the Paris Pantin Ford dealership; the first owner kept it for a very short time (it skidded on a wet road and was returning it to the dealership). The person I bought it from kept it for 19 years, and I've owned it ever since. It has always been well looked after and all the maintenance has been done. I am a collector, and this vehicle has never been left outside overnight. The rear seats have never carried passengers, the boot has never held any items, the carpets are new, and the spare wheel is the original. The previous owner can be contacted to confirm the service history and verify the low mileage of 64,000km. This model is a rare Luxury specification. It is a T35 model with large turbo.DSCF1352.JPG12.33 MB
