The Appeal
Light, nimble and stylish, in 1988 when the original Vitara arrived, there was really nothing quite like it. Where its rivals looked like they could go offroad, but largely couldn’t, the Vitara was a proper mud-plugger with AWD and hi/lo ratio transmission.
This 2dr soft top adds summer versatility to the package. It is also supplied with a factory fibreglass hard top. Finished in white with a well-preserved grey fabric interior, it is a remarkably unmolested example that we’re told has never been welded.
The vendor acquired the car in 2004 and tells us that it has been in storage for the last three years. There is some service history and a pile of MOTs to support the low mileage. Buyers have the transparency of a recent MOT with no advisories. It runs to September 2026. An interesting find for lovers of quirky, capable offroaders.
