The Appeal

The W220 was engineered to be the most Mercedes of Mercedes. Thick carpets, extensive sound deadening and big, comfortable seats give these cars first-class “waftability,” along with the kind of drive that makes the miles disappear. It’s well worth tracking one down for a taste of all that—plus some proper old-school money class.

Finding a good one is the challenge, but, miraculously, we’ve done that for you here. The vendor bought the car in 2017 and it’s only the second keeper, too—so it’s clearly been looked after. The mileage is also at the “barely run in” stage for the economical 3.2L OM648 V6 turbodiesel.
