The Appeal
Considering just how usable and entertaining the 996 is, it’s a surprise to discover barely-used examples like this 2001 car. It has covered just 31,475 miles, which is supported by MOT and service records. As a result, the condition is impressive, the popular Arctic Silver paintwork, blue roof and matching leather all showing few indications of its 25 years.
The 3.4L flat six is mated to Porsche’s versatile 5spd Tiptronic automatic, a combination that suits the car’s long-legged abilities. The specification includes a factory hardtop, desirable GT3 wheels (£6,500 factory option), PASM, climate control, electric seats, park assist, electric rear spoiler, and auto-dimming mirrors.
We are told that the car has been dry stored throughout its life and comes with a good service history. The car will be sold with fresh service and a new MOT. A recent code read provides added reassurance, which we are told confirms no known faults.
The vendor says:
“An excellent, very low mileage example with factory hard-top that is ready to enjoy.”
