The Appeal
This 2002 Defender 90 has clearly been enjoyed and well-maintained by its handful of keepers. It is a practical and purposeful TD5 with some useful upgrades to improve all-terrain utility.
The light blue paintwork is matched with silver tread plate and trim, and there is a set of deep dish alloys shod with quality BF Goodrich AT tyres. Inside the six-seat cabin is well preserved and features a Moto Lita leather-rimmed wheel and modern Blaupunkt Bluetooth stereo.
The large history file shows regular servicing and maintenance, largely by the same marque specialist and a Ford garage to just under 150,000. In 2021, over £1,800 was invested in brake work and other improvements, including new front discs and pads. Further evidence of the mechanical and structural condition is provided by the MOT, which runs to the end of November 2026 with no advisories.
For those looking for a Defender that does the job, this well-kept example looks promising.
