The Appeal
One of the joys of a ‘skunkworks’ approach to car development, where budgets are tight and deadlines loom, is cars like this - the MG ZS. Nobody expected the dowdy Rover 45 to spawn one of the best-handling saloons of the last 25 years, but thanks to a clever team of MG Rover engineers, it did.
Good, low-mileage survivors are rare, but here is exactly that. Sporting less than 29,000 miles from new this factory-standard ZS120 manual must be one of the nicest and best preserved of the handful of remaining cars.
It has clearly been cared for by its four keepers, the current one since 2020. The history includes a stamped service book plus handwritten maintenance notes, which you can view in the photos. The MOT runs to June 2026 so it is ready to go and show.
The vendor says:
"Vehicle is as new, low low mileage untouched just had an MOT has a massive amount of paperwork and documentation with the vehicle.
"She is a metallic blue colour with as new alloy wheels fitted. She smells brand new as indeed she virtually is, bought by the original owner and just never used, all documentation of previous MOTs showing concurrent mileage, I cannot fault the car she is just as she left the showroom in 2004.
"If you ever wanted an MG ZS this is the one."
