The Appeal
Few vehicles enjoy an icon status like the Land Rover Defender. Rugged, practical and unmistakably utilitarian, it still sets the benchmark for off-road ability. Later versions—like this 2006 Td5 turbo-diesel example—represent one of the most appreciated evolutions of a design philosophy that puts efficiency and robustness first.
This Defender 110 has clearly carried out the job it was built for. Previously owned by a gardener, it’s been a real working vehicle and the evidence of that use is present and honest. According to the seller, it’s in very healthy condition, although the bodywork and interior naturally show signs of wear that match its age and day-to-day professional use.
The seller also notes that all equipment is working correctly.

BEFORE YOU BUY
This sale is subject to Car & Classic’s terms and conditions. By bidding and/or making an offer, you also agree to the following:
✓ The seller is registered as a private seller, meaning consumer rights under European consumer protection legislation do not apply. However, you are still covered by Car & Classic’s terms and conditions.
✓ We require non-refundable fees to be paid if you’re the successful bidder at the auction or if your offer is accepted. Please refer to our FAQs and terms and conditions for the specific rates.
✓ This vehicle is “as seen”, sold on an “as is, where is” basis and without warranty. Photos and descriptions are provided for guidance only, and it’s customary to carry out a full vehicle inspection before purchase for your peace of mind.
✓ VAT is included in the buyer's deposit. VAT may or may not be included in the final offer or bid price, as stated in the listing.
✓ We want the transaction to run smoothly, just as you do, and that’s why UK-registered cars and motorcycles sold on Car & Classic are subject to an HPI check to confirm there are no basic insurance database markers for damage or theft, and that the vehicle is not subject to a lien—so you can bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are registered as written off as part of a total loss when the listing is placed on Car & Classic, and we provide Cat C/D/S/N categorisation labels to help you. The presence or absence of a label doesn’t guarantee the vehicle’s status, and it’s always sensible to carry out a full vehicle history check before placing a bid.
✓ Buyers are responsible for collecting or arranging delivery of the vehicle. Vehicle imports may incur additional duties and taxes. If you’d like, we can recommend a third-party transport company to assist you.
