The Appeal
While many recent Mercedes-Benz models have been given AMG logos and branding, true AMG models are rare and desirable in equal measure. This particular example is a 2016 E63, still looking resplendent in its pearl white paint with black accents across the spoilers and roof, mirrors and air intakes.
Black is a recurring theme in the cabin, from the leather seats and door cards to the piano black centre console and heavily embossed AMG gearlever. This was one of the last Mercedes models before infotainment systems started to dominate dashboards, and there are a wealth of buttons, all of which appear to be in good condition with no visible wear. Indeed, the owner describes the interior as being in “excellent condition”, with all instruments and switchgear reportedly working as they should.
A partial service history includes a full program of A and B services over the last six years. Described as “extremely quick and a pleasure to drive in excellent condition throughout”, this E63 is something of a time capsule, albeit one with an entirely modern standard specification list.

The Condition
- Black ten-spoke alloys present in very good condition
- Tinted windows and surround-view cameras added
- No signs of corrosion or damage underneath the car
- Engine bay clean and tidy with original AMG engine plaque
- Embossed gear gaiter and perforated seats in excellent order
- For its age, this is an extremely well presented car, with no fading on any of the numerous cabin buttons, and well-preserved metalwork facing onto black leather seats which have shrugged off the last 50,000 miles. The boot presents as lightly used, with the fold-out warning triangle still in situ and a toolkit mounted within the spare wheel. The black door cards are seemingly wear-free, though there are a few surface scratches on the exterior black roof accents, and marks on the fold-out rear armrest. Considering how unforgiving black materials can be, however, the interior looks excellent.
The Mechanics
- 5.5-litre V8 and seven-speed automatic gearbox
- All instruments and switchgear reportedly working
- Replacement active rear exhaust boxes and tips
- Original boxes and tips can be included in sale
- Engine remapped to 660 hp and 1150Nm of torque
- Following a recent A service in January of this year, this car reportedly runs and drives superbly. There is a detailed record of maintenance throughout this decade covering its suspension, air conditioning system and brakes. A series of aftermarket modifications could easily be rolled back if desired, such as the original exhaust tips and boxes, which will be supplied with the car alongside their stainless steel replacements.
