With modern additions such as an air cooled 1. 6 injection petrol engine (with the same cult sound as the 1979 Classic), disc brakes, alarm, immobiliser, catalytic converter, & a pioneer CD player, this car is a real find. A Classic with the reliability of a modern car. It has 17000 miles on the clock & has been recently serviced. A move causes a very reluctant sale. This car was manufactured in Puebla, Mexico where the Beetle was used as the Country's taxicab. Production of the 1979 Classic Beetle finished on July 30th, 2003. As beetles in Mexico are left hand drive the factory took limited orders for right hand steering, at an additional cost.
