Ginetta G15
This is a classic rare British sports car. Built in 1973 so NOT tax exempt. Chassis G15/ 726. Blue with black interior. Fabulously original. Beautiful glass fibre body on a strong GALVANISED chassis.
0 – 60 about 10 seconds but feels a lot quicker. 500 kilos so about 120 bhp per tonne! 40+ mpg. Cheap classic car insurance.
Loads of paperwork. Totally re-commisioned. This is a 25 year old car but is totally usable on a daily basis
This is a project car 95% complete but with all the parts required to complete. DOES NEED A RESPRAY. These are the details:
Engine; Strong 875 cc Imp sport engine. Twin Carbs with chrome filters. Partly rebuilt, checked and ok’d. Tubular 4-2-1 manifold to sports silencer. Electronic ignition. New leads.
Chassis: Rare Galvanised factory chassis so no rust problems. Cleaned and painted with eb 50 paint.
Body: Fibreglass. Good original condition. No accidents. Stainless steel door window frames with new channeling. Original Blue and Resprayed.
Suspension: Front and rear all stripped/ overhauled, bearings inspected and repacked, Cleaned and painted. New ss nuts and bolts. New bushes. Original Cosmic alloys with excellent Dunlop SP Sport tyres.
Brakes: All stripped/ overhauled/ painted. New rear cylinder seals. Calipers stripped/ overhauled/ painted. New discs. Master cylinder re-built/ new seals. Goodridge SS lines. All brake lines replaced and new. All new DOT 5 fluid.
Clutch Master cylinder re-built. New pipework. All new DOT 5 fluid.
Cooling. New hoses. All system stripped/ overhauled/ re-painted. Electric fan. Heater overhauled and works!!!
Electrics: Overhauled tidied. New connectors. New part loom. Good battery.
Fuel System.: New lines. Overhauled fuel tank.
Interior: New Cub bucket seats. Original instrumentation. New headlining. New carpets.
Generally: Original Cosmic wheels with nearly new Dunlop SP sport tyres. New stainless/ zinc bolts/ nuts/ washers/ screws/ fixings all over the place. Also new stainless jubilee clips used.
This is an appreciating classic. As I’ve said, its not complete but not far off, the donkey work has been done, really just needs respray finishing and some TLC.
The not so good points are that the respray isn’t brilliant in fact its rubbish!. The headlining is new but again hasn’t been done very well. The windows are all there but need to be fitted. Rubbers are included. The dash board requires finishing and installing, again all parts present. Heater needs installing. Needs new clutch slave cylinder. That about it. Any questions mail me. Its advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to withdraw the car.
