1996 BMW 523i. This very nice car is not getting used as it should so it's now for sale.
I looked at several E39 models before I found this, as many of this model and age have deteriorated badly. The silver bodywork is in remarkable condition, all panels being straight and with even paintwork, and the car benefits from all round excellent mechanicals.
The interior is also very good with the full leather trim showing usual signs of creasing commensurate with age, and all other surfaces being in good order. The carpets are fitted with over-mats all round. The alloys are all good with only very minor scuffs. Being the ‘SE’ model the car benefits from a long list of factory fittings including:
• Slide/ tilt electric sunroof
• Ice cold air conditioning/ climate control
• Cruise control
• Electric windows
• Rear park sensors (fully working)
• Steering wheel controls for radio/ cruise etc
• Electric/ heated wing mirrors
Mechanically the car is excellent, starting and driving quietly and smoothly through the 5 speed ZF auto-gearbox. The car is almost silent, and the drive from South when I collected it returned almost 38 miles per gallon. A full sized alloy spare and complete tool kit is present in the immaculate boot along with a 6CD auto-changer.
There are several invoices present, including a Main Dealer invoice dated 31/ 07/ 19 at 103601 miles to include a new battery. Also there are two sets of working remote fobs.
MOT until August 19th 2023 with only a couple of small advises recorded.
