Description
A handsome 1937 Railton Cobham saloon. Cheapest way into Straight 8 motoring! A VERY good up together car that was restored a few years ago, and used very little since. Only 2 previous owners. Perfect underside, no rust ever. strong alluminium bodywork, doors all close perfectly. Nice big sun roof. very good 4. 2L engine no smoke or rattles. These cars are VERY fast, used in the 30s by the Police for catching "gangsters!"
"THE MOTOR" road test June 8 1937 achieved 90 MPH and 0-50 in only 9. 7 seconds! Big hydraulic brakes to stop it. Interior photos speak for themselves, although there is a little mouse damage to base of front seats, which could be covered, and to a small area of the head lining at the rear. MOT April 2011 and taxed. I am close to the channel tunnel for foreign buyers.
