Description
This is an original 1972 right hand drive Fiat 500 L in excellent condition throughout and thousands of £'s have been spent to bring her back to her former glory. She has been professionally primed and re-sprayed and all wheel arches, floor pans and undercarriage have been sealed with red zinc oxide anti rust and then black silicon seal paint -there is not an inch of rust anywhere and she is almost like new!
Road tax exempt, V5C present, new classic black/ silver metal embossed number plates, loads of paperwork/ history and is cheap to insure. The same colour car also featured in the Pixar film "Cars".
This iconic Fiat 500 is a snippet at the price, especially for a car with such low mileage as she has been off road since the early 80's. This is a very original article and can be used everyday. Viewing is recommended and then you can judge for yourself. I will be happy to jack the car up, remove part of the carpet and any door panel and back seats so you can really have a look around.
Engine and gearbox:
Original 499cc engine, removed and all cleaned inside and out, oil change, new points, HT leads, spark plugs, starter motor and air filter. Genuine 39, 000 miles on clock as she was not used since the 80's to 2008. Very smooth changing gearbox, all stripped/ cleaned with oil change and new gearbox mounts. Exhaust system all good/ new seals with no blow holes. Air intake hoses and heater hoses replaced. Sump cleaned and new gasket. Original carburettor stripped and cleaned.
Body:
Front panel, wings n/ s rear, n/ s front, o/ s front replaced with new.
Interior:
Immaculate condition black pleated seats (original for this model), new door panels, door pockets, handles, window winders, central console, door stops and new black carpet. New roof mount and new canvass top frame with new handle and several window rubbers plus new washer pump. All the interior has been stripped back to bear metal and sealed with red zinc oxide and black silicon paint. Petrol tank removed, cleaned and re-sprayed.
Brakes and undercarriage:
New copper brake pipes throughout, cylinders, shoes/ drums, master cylinder, clips, hoses and pedal rubbers replaced. All wheels sandblasted/ sprayed and tyres like new. New leaf spring clamp, front dampers and rubbers. Complete underseal treatment with red oxide and black silicon seal paint.
Electrics:
All checked and everything works well. New bulbs/ fuses and flasher unit. New battery & terminals.
Other new parts replaced:
(In addition to interior parts): added new bumpers, bars/ spacers/ bolts, lens covers/ rubbers & screws, wiper blades, bonnet mat/ rubbers, silver profiles, number plate lamp, badges, hub caps/ nuts, gear lever boot, gear stick knob, and new classic number plates.
All wheels and tyres are in excellent condition with new hub caps and nuts.
History/ receipts:
V5C, many receipts from Proietti, Richambi International, Richambi Fiat 500 and new parts from Italy. I will take the car for the new owner to the garage for 1 year MOT and arrange the 1 year road tax (which is free!).
