*** REDUCED FOR QUICK SALE***

Lots of interest in my car but still no takers as yet to my surprise? Hence a further reduction now down to £2200. I'm not selling the car because i'm in need of the money, it's soley because of the purchase of our camper van and the fact that the car isn't getting used! The car is currently not advertised elsewhere as yet, but unless it sells on here within the next coming weeks we will either keep it or advertise in other places.

For sale is this Beautiful Triumph Herald genuine convertible in Damson metallic red.
Having owned a fair few classic cars including a 12/ 50, this has to be far the best car we have owned to date?

Unfortunately due to us also owning a Classic camper van one has to go, and also being that we have children we thought that the likely candidate has to be the Herald, as the camper is obviously bigger!!!

Now the car is NOT concourse dispite my rattling on about how good the body is ( Come and view and you will agree i'm sure ) But in my humble opinion it wouldn't cost the earth to make it so?

I have babied this car since i have had her and the last m. o. t failed on a few things.
These were.

Brakes ( Now fitted with copper brake lines )
New windscreen washer eyes.
And a few other minor bits.
The m. o. t. cost around the £300 mark and most of that was labour charges..

We had brand new red matching carpets professionally fitted
New battery
New Water pump
And also a Mountney wooden steering wheel that we haven't gotten around to fitting as we require the correct Boss. This is also included in the sale.

The car starts first turn of the key and drives superb ( However, please bare in mind that although they may look like a nippy little open top sports car - They certainly do not perform like one ) It is happy to sit at between 50-60 mph all day long. Quite literally because on fuel consumption it is fantastic and will take you miles on just a sip of fuel!

So there you have it - She is obviously tax exempt, so free tax for the year. Great on fuel.
And i currently pay £70 a year for fully comp insurance... Unbeatable cheap motoring with the added benefit of much public attention!!!

The m. o. t. has until June, but i'm certain it will sail through as we have only covered a few miles since the last one.

Also comes with the Herald Haynes manual. ( So easy to work on )
Parts are very plentifull on well known auction websites and if you join up to the triumph six Tssc owners club you will get lower insurance quotes by stating that you are a member. The guys in the technical forums are always happy to help you if in need of advice however large or small the question!!

Now i will attempt to give you the rundown on the NOT SO PERFECT Bits..

These are very minor too.
The hood is in need of some light cosmetic attention ( Twas like this when i brought it ) The vinyl itself is great but the metal framing needs a weld to make it perfect. I currently use a belt to keep it in place and infact it works perfectly fine as it is. You wouldn't tell by looking at it!

The foam under the drivers seat is starting to show signs of wear as it is starting to crumble away due to age. I put a cushion on the seat to save it getting any worse.

The stereo is fitted and turns on but i cannot get it to work. That said, i haven't really spent any time trying to find out the fault so it could be an easy fix for somebody?

It will also need some mirror glass in the offside wing mirror as it fell out when i drove it home for the first time.

Very minor things and cheap to sort out but thought i would mention them.

I don't think i have anything left to add at this point so thankyou for taking the time to read through. Please ask me for more pictures of the car if you wish as i have many. Or if you feel i have missed something vital out i will be more than happy to answer your questions if i can?
the details below
Many thanks
Scott.
