I have for sale a very good classic Volvo estate which has stood the test of time well. It was very well protected against corrosion when new and therefore has lasted.
This is a 2. 3 model, which is sufficiently powerful for motorways and the Devon hills. It has great carrying capacity - up to seven people (rear folding seats for children only)- or you can fold down almost everything and make a huge luggage space. I have used it as my private car for eighteen months and it has been brilliant - lots of journeys between Devon and the South East, one to France and one to Scotland, and all with no problems. I am only selling it now because we have more vehicles than necessary.
This Volvo has leather seats, black leather in very good condition with no rips, splits or unstitching. The carpets are of high quality, with no excessive wear, and the door cards are all very good. The headlining has some nicks, scuffs and a little staining but is acceptable.
Other features of this car are PAS (excellent), heated backs and squabs to the front seats, electric front windows, electric door mirrors, AUTOMATIC 4-speed gearbox (car can return over 30MPG). It has the original radio cassette; the radio works, but not the cassette. It needs new speakers as there is only one working, though it has positions for four.
The mileage is 171, 000, which is below average for a 23 year old car. The engine compartment is clean and fairly new-looking. The bodywork is in very good condition; the paint is a little patchy on the passenger side where a parking ding was repaired.
Recent work (i. e. 2008) includes a 10K miles service, replacement drive belts, heater hoses, radiator, fuel pump, rear tyres, most of exhaust system (except rear end, which is stainless), service items.
