AUSTIN A30. 1956. LONG MOT & TAX. MECHANICALLY VERY GOOD. IN DAILY USE. DRIVES WELL STARTS FIRST TIME EVERYTIME.
MECHANICALLY... as I said, all is well...... She Starts, Drives, & Stops. All the lights work, even the old Trafficators still pop out as they should.
BODILY.... Well, that is a different matter........ she really does need some "fettling", not that she is rotten, just that she has had a few "BRUISES" over her years, but a couple of days work with the stopper, spray can and polish would work wonders. The underneath is good.
INTERIOR..... Again, this is servicable..... BUT..... it does need the headlining replacing. According to how far you want to go, it could be used as is, (seats and carpets are functional, with no nasty rips) or you could go the whole way and spend, spend, spend. I know what I would do....... a quick clean and tidy up!!!!!!
REALLY, WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS A RELATIVELY HONEST OLD A30, WHICH WILL NOT WIN ANY "BEAUTY CONTESTS" BUT WILL DO WHAT IS WAS INTENDED TO DO... BE A RELIABLE OLD MOTOR!! USE IT, ENJOY IT, AND IMPROVE IT, "AS AND WHEN" DON'T FORGET, SHE IS TAXED & MOT'd AND READY TO USE, AS I HAVE BEEN DOING
Comes with manuals and handbooks and some original paperwork. I only recently purchased it, but due to a change in personal circumstances sadly I can no longer keep it and I wont have the time or money to spend on it.
