Extensive mechanical work carried out in current ownership
The Appeal
Production of the Type 2 continued in South Africa long after European assembly ceased, and due to the region's dry climate, it's these vans that have often survived the best of their brethren. The South African plant offered a good build standard, with gentle improvements over the years to make for an altogether more usable van. The Executive spec then makes for a much more comfortable machine, too.
This 1977 bus was imported from South Africa and is now registered on UK plates. Since acquiring it about a year ago, the current owner has invested in significant mechanical work, with a comprehensive list of replaced components. The car's history file includes invoices for the work carried out. image.png1.85 MB
