The Appeal

Produced by The Stuttgart coach builder Karosserie Baur - who had been building convertibles for BMW since 1930 - the E30 Cabrio boasted a removable targa-style roof panel and folding fabric rear section, with a sturdy rollover bar just in case the car ended up on its back. The Bavarian magic is still proudly on display. Lots of angles, the split grille and the sharp dynamics are all present and correct. There's plenty to love, and for many this is a bit of a sweet spot in those early days that would set the Beamer blueprint - function with a generous sprinkling of flair.

This 1985 preface lift E30 presents very well, Resprayed by the previous owner in the correct Diamond Black Metallic in 2020, The current owner has spent considerable time and money returning this example back to make this 41 year old BMW is something that can be enjoyed and used.

Refurbished 14" Bottle top wheels and new tyres, full BMW Inspection 2 with cam belt replacement, extensive mechanical work, including cooling system, steering, clutch hydraulics, fluids and any other related items have been replaced or repaired. The few cosmetic imperfections remain visible and are reflected honestly in its presentation and photos.

Good condition leather interior is now present, the targa and soft top are in good condition, tonneau cover present and even the original frost cover for the rear window, Full and complete tool kit, chrome accents and BMW body kit and front air dam fitted.

Powered by the smooth 1,990cc fuel-injected straight-six and mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, With a production date of 1st Feb 1985, C510NDP was delivered directly to BMW (GB) Ltd on 15th April 1985, interestedly then not registered until 1st August 1985, now with historic status being Tax and MOT free it still holds a valid MOT until June 2027 and is ready and waiting for its lucky new keeper. Despite its low mileage in the current ownership, its always been garaged and used regularly.
