Full set of 550 luggage, its original leather wallet, book pack, tool kit, and both key sets
The Appeal
Ferrari has been keen to reinvent itself of late, but if history has taught us anything, Maranello's engineers and designers often produce their best work when they stick to what they know best. The Ferrari 550 Maranello marked a triumphant return to Ferrari's signature front-engined, rear-wheel-drive V12 grand tourer formula, and it was met with near-universal acclaim upon its 1996 launch.
With its naturally aspirated 5.5-litre V12 mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, it offered a driving experience that was at once thrilling and refined; a proper long-legged GT in the finest Ferrari tradition. Today, it is rightly revered as one of the last of a breed, and demand among collectors and enthusiasts continues to grow.
This 1999 example has been in the seller's family for approximately 10–12 years, having been acquired by the seller's father. With 4,825 miles on the odometer, it has clearly led a sheltered life and its condition reflects this. Finished in classic Rosso Corsa over Crema leather with contrasting Bordeaux stitching and carpets, it is accompanied by a full set of new, unused 550 luggage, its original leather wallet, book pack, tool kit, and both key sets.
For those seeking a remarkably well-preserved Ferrari 550 Maranello with a six-speed manual gearbox and a straightforward ownership narrative, this is a compelling opportunity.OUL_6260 Luke Papworth.jpg7.91 MB

Such is this car's remarkable state of preservation, it's hard to believe it is now in its 27th year. That Pininfarina styling, reminiscent of the 365 GTB/4 Daytona, has aged very gracefully indeed and looks wonderful in the quintessential Ferrari scheme of Rosso Corsa paintwork over Crema leather. Consistent with its minuscule mileage and a lifetime of careful maintenance, this 550 shows remarkably few signs of age throughout, with only the smallest imperfections, which are outlined in the photographs. The addition of factory luggage is the cherry on the cake.

It's an unbeatable combination: naturally aspirated V12 and a gated manual gearbox.
